Leiyami Angkang (The Curator of Craft)
Leiyami Angkang is a creative visionary who blends tradition with modern craftsmanship. A graduate of Delhi University, she began her journey through pottery and handcrafted art, taking local craftsmanship to international audiences.
After relocating to Dubai, she collaborated with skilled artisans from her village to bring the natural perfume bottle concept to life. Under her guidance, each piece was crafted to reflect elegance, sustainability, and cultural heritage.
Her work represents a connection between traditional artistry and contemporary design, transforming handcrafted creations into timeless pieces appreciated worldwide.

MATERIALS & QUALITY

Our pottery is crafted using a unique blend of locally sourced clay and powdered serpentinite stone, giving each piece exceptional strength and its signature deep black finish. Every item is carefully shaped by hand using traditional coiling techniques, creating a durable structure with an authentic handcrafted character. The surface is then smoothened and burnished with natural river stones to achieve a refined texture and elegant appearance. Each piece is fired in a traditional wood kiln at temperatures between 500°C and 700°C, where the natural reaction between heat and serpentinite develops its rich black color. To complete the process, the pottery is polished with smooth stones and Macha leaves, enhancing both its shine and long-lasting durability.
